Our people are fun! We spend most of our time at work, we are not mindless robots, so crack a joke to your co-workers and have fun while you are here.
Opportunities to grow. This isn’t a job, it’s a career. We are always looking to expand our teams and grow individuals into supervisor and management positions.
The best wages. We pay top industry wages because we believe we hire and employ the best people in the industry.
Staff events. Pool parties, BBQs, family days, and other fun events are a regular occurrence here. We want to reward our staff and have some fun at the same time.
Your input is welcome. Have an idea or suggestion to help make this a better place to work. Your experience is valued, and we want to hear from you.
Ongoing training. On-the-job training is provided, as well as paid training and product seminars throughout the year.
Personal well-being. Work should come second to your personal well-being and family life. This is something our management team believes and strives for you to achieve.
Giving back. We host an annual charity event as well as give to various local charities. If there is a cause you are passionate about let us know and see if we can help in some way.
Industry-leading benefits. Health care coverage, RRSP Contributions, and Profit Sharing…does your company give you these opportunities?
Award-winning projects. Our talented employees produce amazing results for our clients and the industry thinks so to as we have won several awards over the years.
The best equipment. Old equipment slows down, breaks, and isn’t efficient. We are constantly upgrading our equipment so our operators can be safe and effective using them.
We’re growing! There’s lots of opportunity to expand your knowledge in the industry and become a leader in the organization.

Safety First! After you are hired, you are given a set of online basic training courses that all our staff must complete before their first shift.
Welcome to the team! On your first day, we introduce you to the staff and spend some time getting to know you.
The buddy system. On your first shift you will be assigned a “buddy”. This will be an experienced person in your division to help show you around the facilities, understand why we do certain procedures and tell you what the “nut-house” is as well as some other LP lingo.
Feedback. Your direct supervisor will spend some time with you each week letting you know how you did, what are some things to improve on and answer any questions you might have.
Human Resources. In addition to your supervisor meetings, you will have a more formal sit down involving our HR department after 7 days, 21 days and 60 days. These meetings are a great way to track your training, help you with any difficulties you might be having and guide you to training courses that interest you and your career path with us.
If you’re still reading this you might be interested in starting a career with us. If you’re not sure yet here are some “perks” to working at LP.
Employee of the month. Park in the VIP parking space, get a gift from the president and get your picture hung on the wall letting all our team and clients know what an All-Star you are!
Service rewards. 5 year, 10 year, 15 year service rewards for those employees who have been with us long-term.
Monthly party. A time to let loose and get to know your teammates better, whether it be a BBQ, pool party, or one of our new favorites – bowling!
Supporting charities. Giving back to our community is part of what it means to be on the LP team. Do you have an important cause or charity, let us know and we might host an event or donation to it.
We like to go for lunches. Work anniversaries, birthdays, personal accomplishments, really any excuse for your manager or the president to take you out, celebrate YOU and get to know you better.
Employee education. Continuing education makes you a better employee. If there is a course or training program you think will help you become a better person and more knowledgeable landscaper, let us know.
Landscape Olympics. What had started with friendly jobsite competition between co-workers has sprung into a full-fledged, organized event. Think you can drive the skid steer the best? You will be tested with our obstacle course. Think you can operate the excavator – good luck beating Trevor!
